When a modular kitchen makes sense
Most Dwarka flats have straight or L-shaped kitchens with a granite or kota platform from when the flat was built. Replacing old shelves and wooden shutters with modular units gives far more usable storage in the same space.
If the platform itself is cracked, the sink is in the wrong place or the wall tiles are damaged, it is better to fix the civil and tile work first and then fit the cabinets. We can do both in one job.
Parts of a modular kitchen
- Base cabinets. Drawers for utensils, plates and cutlery, and a sink unit with space for the water purifier.
- Wall cabinets. Above the platform, with lift-up or hinged shutters.
- Tall unit. Floor-to-ceiling pantry storage or space for a built-in oven.
- Loft. Top storage for rarely used items.
- Corner solutions. Carousel or blind-corner units so the L-corner is not wasted.
- Platform and backsplash. Granite, quartz or other top and wall tiles behind the cooking area.
Things to check before ordering
- Material near the sink. Use water-resistant board (BWP plywood or a suitable moisture-resistant board) for the sink unit. This is the part that fails first.
- Chimney and hob. Fix the chimney model and hob size before wall units are made.
- Plumbing and gas line. Inlet, outlet and gas pipe positions should be finalised before cabinets are installed.
- Hardware. Channels, hinges and baskets take daily load – it is worth choosing reliable ones.
- Electrical points. Plan points for chimney, purifier, microwave, mixer and fridge.
What affects modular kitchen cost
Kitchen cost depends on the running length of cabinets, the number of drawers and baskets, the board, the shutter finish (laminate, acrylic, PU or glass), the hardware, and whether the platform and tiles are also being redone. We quote item by item after measuring.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a modular kitchen cost in Dwarka?
It depends on kitchen size, the number of drawers and accessories, the board and the shutter finish. We give a detailed estimate after measuring the kitchen.
Can you change the old kitchen platform too?
Yes, platform, sink position and wall tiles can be redone before cabinets are fitted.
Which material is best for the sink area?
Water-resistant board such as BWP plywood is recommended for the sink unit because it is exposed to water daily.
Do you provide modular kitchen installation for an existing design?
Yes, we can build to a design you already have, after checking it against site measurements.
