Where we do tile work
- Floors. Living, bedrooms and full-flat flooring with vitrified or ceramic tiles.
- Bathrooms. Floor and wall tiles with proper slope towards the drain.
- Kitchen walls. Backsplash and full-height wall tiles.
- Balconies and terraces. Anti-skid tiles over a waterproofed base.
- Stairs and elevation. Stair treads, risers and outer wall cladding.
Tile fitting done right
On renovation jobs we usually remove old tiles, check the base for hollow spots, repair and level it, and waterproof bathrooms and balconies before laying new tiles. Large-format tiles need tile adhesive and a very flat base; small wall tiles are more forgiving.
Joints are filled with grout or epoxy grout. Epoxy costs more but resists stains and water better – it is worth considering for kitchen counters and shower areas.
Choosing tiles
- Vitrified. Low water absorption, strong; common for floors.
- Ceramic. Lighter and economical; common for walls.
- Matt or anti-skid. For bathroom floors, balconies and stairs.
- Large slabs. Fewer joints but need skilled laying and careful handling.
- Order extra. Keep a few spare tiles from the same batch for future repairs.
What affects tile work cost
Area, removal of old tiles, base repair and waterproofing, tile size (very large and very small tiles take more labour), pattern work, adhesive or mortar method, and grout type. Tile cost itself depends on what you select.

Can you lay new tiles over old ones?
Sometimes, if the old floor is sound and the extra height is acceptable. In bathrooms we usually recommend removing old tiles and waterproofing first.

Yes, waterproofing is recommended in bathrooms and balconies before tiling.
Do you supply tiles?
You can buy tiles yourself or we can help source them as per your selection. This is discussed in the estimate.
Do you do epoxy grouting?
Yes, epoxy grout can be used where stain and water resistance matter.
